Low response rates weaken a 360 report and delay the entire programme. Reminders help, but participation usually begins with whether people understand the purpose and believe their effort matters.
Set expectations early
Tell raters why they were selected, how long the task should take and when it is due. Managers should protect time for completion.
Choose credible raters
People are more likely to respond when they have enough contact to provide meaningful evidence. Avoid sending questionnaires to an unnecessarily large list.
